Privacy Policy

At cScore, your privacy is important to us. This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you use our music‑education platform.

1. Collection of Personal Information

We collect information you provide when you sign up, such as your name, email address, and payment details. We may also gather data generated by your usage—like lesson logs, practice recordings, and analytics events— to improve our service.

2. Use of Personal Information

We use your information to:

  • Authenticate and manage your account;
  • Deliver and personalize features (e.g., lesson tracking, recording playback);
  • Send you important notices, updates, and billing receipts;
  • Analyze usage patterns to optimize performance and user experience.

3. Disclosure of Personal Information

We never sell your data. We may share it with:

  • Service providers (e.g., payment processors, hosting platforms) under strict confidentiality;
  • Analytics and monitoring tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Meta Pixel) to track performance;
  • Legal authorities if required by law or to protect our rights.

4. Data Security

We implement industry‑standard safeguards—encryption in transit (TLS), hashed passwords, regular vulnerability scans—to protect your data. However, no system is impenetrable; please use strong, unique passwords.

5. Third‑Party Links & Tools

Our platform may include links to third‑party sites and embedded tools (e.g., YouTube for video playback). We’re not responsible for their practices—please review their own Privacy Policies.

6. Children’s Privacy & COPPA Compliance

cScore is intended for users aged 13 and older. We comply with the U.S. Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us at support@cscore.co and we will promptly delete that information.

Parental‑Managed Student Profiles

Parents or legal guardians (“Account Holders”) may create and manage student profiles for children under 13 within their own cScore account. By creating a student profile, the Account Holder confirms they have the legal right to consent on behalf of the child and agree to our collection and processing of that child’s data. We do not permit children under 13 to hold separate login credentials.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy periodically. The “Last updated” date below reflects the current version. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

8. Use of User‑Provided Data for AI‑Generated Features

When you use our AI‑powered tools (e.g., performance summaries, practice recommendations), your inputs (lesson recordings, text prompts) are sent to third‑party AI providers (such as OpenAI) solely to generate the requested output. You remain responsible for not submitting sensitive data (PHI, PII). Review those providers’ policies for their handling practices.

9. Use of Facebook Meta Pixel & Analytics

We use the Facebook Meta Pixel and Google Analytics to measure engagement and ad effectiveness. These tools collect browser‑based data (IP address, pages visited, events). To opt out, adjust your cookie preferences or visit Facebook’s/Goggle’s opt‑out pages.

10. Contact Us
